The Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency issued Saudi Riyal banknotes in 9 different denominations, including this 1 Saudi Riyal banknote. They are part of the withdrawn Saudi-Arabian Riyal banknotes series. The Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency started issuing these 1 Saudi Riyal banknotes in 1984. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2004. This Saudi one riyal banknote depicts Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Fahd was the King of Saudi Arabia between 1982 and 2005. The reverse of the note has a landscape scene, and the Saudi Arabian national emblem of two swords below a palm tree. Condition is fair.
