This massive opal specimen comes from Lightning Ridge in Australia. It was recently recovered from the estate of a Canadian jeweler. The stone has been professionally appraised by the Founder of Black Opal Direct and this appraisal will convey with sale. The stone, with its scant dark potch, is brilliantly colored with green and blue primary flashes, and features two color bars that extend through the stone. A good cutter can make a lot of gem quality material from it. All photos shot dry with natural light and no water (dry stone). Video shot outdoors in normal daylight.
