Lemon & Son (Louisville, Kentucky) Four Matching Mint Julep Cup Set in Sterling Silver Monogram 'F'
$1,800.00
Nice midcentury mint julep cups of tapering cylindrical form and stepped foot. The four sterling silver tumblers are marked 'Lemon & Son', and one marked for Louisville. I believe one is slightly older, maybe 1940s (just slightly smaller in stature) and the other three are probably early 50's. These opulent pieces of American regional silver have all the marks and design that serious collectors of Kentucky silver will want. Excellent condition with only exceedingly minor dings and light surface scratches. Almost mint and glossy inside and out. Overall, just minor patina as you would expect from a cup that has been treasured and kept in the iconic green Lemon & Son Louisville bags. Fly out of the gate in true and authentic style. Matching Gothic script monogrammed F on each cup.
Dimensions: 3.75" tall and 2.75" wide at the lip. 469 grams on the set.
