Frederic Cozzens - Lying-To off Georges Banks
$800.00
This is a rare and highly pursued yachting chromolithograph by Cozzens, 1884, Charles Scribners, Armstrong Production, New York. This representation depicts, "Lying-To off George's Banks", Plate XV from American Yachts, by Fredrick S. Cozzens. The ships shown are Norseman and Atalanta. Though this image would look great displayed by any sailing enthusiast, it would be stellar for a Manhattan office, yacht club, Hamptons or Nantucket home. Unframed, this piece is mounted on the original backing board with the original portfolio label. Signed bottom left Cozzens 83. Could be conserved to new condition for about $100. Current condition is good with a few blemishes that cannot be seen from more than a foot or two away. It does show some signs of oxidation and age.
