Offered here is a nicely carved Dogon of Mali stone figure. This piece was recovered from the extensive African art collection of Theodore Roos Rosché. Price is firm. This item is heavy (1386 grams). The stone appears to have been outside for a prolonged period of time as it has almost an oxidized crust on the stone that appears to have formed from weathering. The figure is a kneeling man holding a curved object, possibly a bow. His fingers are wrapped around the edges on either side. Dimensions: 1.75" x 4.75" x 7".
