Ca. 1940 B A Ballou Sterling Silver Federal Eagle Brooch (2.5")

Offered, a stoic sterling silver antique federal eagle brooch by B A Ballou. Cast in a heavy gauge of silver, this brooch features a right-facing eagle resting on a branch, wings displayed. Condition is excellent and shows an older patina with no nicks, pitting or other damage. A great candidate for a very fine gift. The piece is stamped STERLING and with a B within a star (Ballou trademark). Pin and clasp are smooth, straight and original. Working nicely and securely.
