This is a pair of a provincial dognose silver tablespoons made in Næstved, Denmark. Made in an old-fashioned pattern with resplendent hand etched chasing of flames or flora on the obverse of bowl. Monogrammed 'PPS and KPD' in a period cursive script on the reverse of the bowl. Really a very special, rare and unique piece. Wear is commensurate with age and use as shown but the condition is very good and they does not appear overpolished as some examples are. Overall, the spoons have a stout and impressive profile and classic proportions. Length: About 8" in length 73.9 grams.
