c. 2000 Image of the NIF Nova Laser at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory (13.25" x 18.25")
$125.00
An image from the NOVA inertial confinement fusion laser perhaps taken around 2000 of the 10-beam NOVA laser. 1985, the 10-beam Nova laser at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory was able to produce 40 joules of ultraviolet energy in its 4.5 meter diameter target chamber. Nova included optical elements to convert infrared light to ultraviolet, and provided confidence that a much larger size laser, such as the National Igntion Facility could achieve thermonuclear ignition in a laboratory. The photograph is mounted to a thick foamcore probably for presentation purposes.
If you are a science nerd like me, how awesome is this?!
Priced to sell and price is firm.
Dimensions of unframed photograph about: 20" x 24"
Condition: good with a small ding or two.
