c. 1930 Charter / Barbour / International Silver Company Sterling Silver Six Piece Tea Set (5,375 grams)
$8,550.00
This six-piece coffee and tea set was likely made around 1930 in Hartford, Connecticut by the Charter Company (a trademark of the Barbour Silver Company). Included is the matching coffee pot, teapot, hot water kettle (with spirit burner), cream, sugar, and waste pot.
This set is stamped on the underside with the Charter / BSC / International marks and with "Sterling" (Charter and Barbour were parts of what later became International silver Co.). Not sure why the markings differ (perhaps bought over several years), but all pieces match perfectly.
Condition notes: The set is in excellent condition. All pieces are well cared for and there are no issues. Handles are very snug and lids working elegantly and fitting well. No monograms, personalizations, or repairs. We do not know what the burner has been packed with. Use at your own risk.
Competitive offers considered.
