Classic antebellum American serving spoon. This fiddle tipt spoon is nicely engraved in a fancy script for 'H Foote'. Downturned terminal. Marked with the pseudomarks of a known but unidentified silversmith working in Troy, NY around 1840 (star, acorn, D). Condition is good with light surface scratches as shown.
