97% Sterling Silver Antique Indian Colonial Baby Rattle and Whistle
$110.00
A lovely item once used to entertain a baby. This antique rattle and whistle was made before mid-century in the 20th century. It makes a lovely, bright rattle as the two exterior bells chime and the interior clapper tumbles about. There are three bells. The large sphere at the top is a bell and this is accentuated by the two dangling bells. All of this sits on the twisted wire stem that runs into the cone-like stem that eventually forms a whistle.
The rattle is marked using an old Indian convention to describe the 97% purity of the silver in the system of weights and measures that is known as the Tola system.
Weight: 17 grams
Dimensions: Just under 3" in length
