1930s Sterling Silver Mexican Footed Bowl (353 grams)

$400.00
Heavy Mexican handmade sterling silver serving bowl ca. 1920-1940 from an unknown maker. Embellished with traditional Spanish colonial stylings, the bowl sits on four cabriole legs. Large flowing edges extend out steeply from the flat bottom of the dish. This piece would be suitable for a centerpiece, fruit bowl, or for serving a wide array of food items. It would certainly make an elegant way to present your soaps. You could also use the bowl as a decoration in and of itself because it is absolutely beautiful. Place it on a console table and pow! The gauge of the silver is high by most standards and it is a very sturdy dish. This piece is hallmarked 'Sterling 925'. Though it is not marked for the maker, it is a classic antique Mexican piece. Total weight: 350+ grams. Dimensions: 2" T x 7.5" L x 5.75" W. Condition is good with light surface scratches ad some areas of patina.
