Offered here is a French silver gilt paten made by a silversmith likely in Quebec, and probably 18th century. It is unmarked for the maker, but bears a museum deaccession number indicating that it had been donated to this institution in 1975. Recovered from Quebec. Condition is excellent with no bends or dents. Slightest wear to the gilding particularly around the inner rim.
