$125.00
Hard to find antique Ukrainian 1892-1907 salt cellar in the kettle form sterling silver salt cellar (more precisely 84 zolotniki silver = 84/96 or 875 parts/1000 parts = 87.5% silver). At the time, 875 silver was Russia's fine silver mark. This piece is handsomely engraved (hand chased) with a reeded rim and sits a bit askew on three ball feet. Just splendid. Perfectly sized for a kettle full of salt!.
Kiev, Ukraine Kokoshnik mark is present and clear for the Assayer Aleksandr Kazimirovich Vyrzhikovsky. There's a cyrillic maker's mark for Israel Eseevich Zakhoder. Condition is basically very good. No cracks and wear seems appropriate to age. No monogram.
