1890-1920 Georg Roth Sterling 800 Silver Hanau Wine Coaster (211 grams) with Medallions
$320.00
A c. 1900 heavy gauge antique silver wine coaster by Georg Roth with cast medallions and swags. A lovely piece in overall good condition with a few battle scars including a very minor blemish with deep scratches particularly on the bottom. An old acid testing scar also on the bottom. Marked very nicely with Roth's crowned A and crowned R as well as the crowned fleur de lis. This may possibly have once been a lined sugar basket, but it will certainly make a fine bottle coaster for a standard wine bottle, and perhaps for other uses.
5.25” in diameter and 2.5" tall-- perfect for a standard bottle and slightly larger.
