1890-1910 Chinese Export Silver Hammered Bowl by "LS' of Canton

A fine hammered Chinese sterling silver bowl handmade by a Cantonese workshop and marked with 'LS'. This heavy (185 grams) piece has simple and timeless lines and no monograms on the pearl shaped reserve. Hammer and other tool marks from the original construction are evident, especially on the bottom (see photo). Condition is good with appropriate patina, and some signs of firescale probably from the original manufacture. Dimensions: ~5.25" wide at the widest and ~3" in height. Recovered from near San Francisco, CA. No condition issues. Rings like a bell!
