1880-1890 Antique Steel Frame Sharpshooter Glasses from Denver

$600.00
I got your Western film prop right here. Superb handmade steel sharpshooter glasses with original hard leather covered case. The most fascinating part of these is the fact that they are sharpshooter glasses and that they are from Denver, Colorado during a time when there were still armed conflicts between Native American tribes and the United States government. These are usually associated with the US Army. Might these have been worn at Fort Laramie, Fort Garland or Fort Lyon to protect miners and settlers from Native Americans? Sort of mind boggling to think of what the eyes behind these lenses saw-- and to think of the man who wore them and what he may have done. Unmarked and these stick to a magnet. Glass in the lenses is fascinated-- orange tinted and frosted except for the center to help focus the eye against distraction while taking long distance shots. These are a fairly small size compared to modern glasses. Please see additional jewelry here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP?ref=search_shop_redirect§ion_id=7399760 Or just browse around the shop! https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP
