1872-1900 Pair 15.5" Italian 800 Silver Candlesticks by 'MP' (1695 grams)

Jaw dropping 1872-1900 antique 800 silver pair of candlesticks, has narrow bases on three legs with figural acanthus feet. A very fine wedding gift could be made of these. Tapered column form shaft with detailed chased flowers encircling the sticks in bands across the entire length. They unscrew into about five pieces for easy cleaning and storage. Stamped 'MP', and with the 1872 Italian left-facing queen mark. Condition is extraordinary. Fine polish with minimal patina. No monograms.
Dimensions. Candlesticks measure around 15.25" and one is about .25" taller than the other seemingly by intention. Overall, these are tall, narrow and very stable perhaps owing to the design of the feet and the fact that they are extremely heavy and heavy gauge. The candlesticks are not filled but are solid silver. 1,695 grams (3.73 pounds).
