A distinct and large sterling silver master butter knife by Tiffany & Co. in the 1870 Saratoga / Cook / Kings pattern made in New York City 1884-91 (Edward C Moore). Knife has a garland of intricate patterns along the stem both sides and then at the terminal, there is a wide fan shaped scallop. Nicely stamped on the handle for 'TIFFANY & Co.' 'STERLING' and 1870. Nice heavy gauge, but entirely elegant. Condition is near flawless with a beautiful patina, some polishing losses and light surface scratching. Period monogram in cursive script.
