Ca 1845 handy little silver butter spreader by rarely seen Philadelphia maker, George Lindner with a solid silver blade and a pitch filled sterling handle. Condition is poor with splits and apparent teething marks to the handle. A seldom seen form by a scarce maker however. Lindner apparently specialized in butter knives. Monogrammed 'JAR'. 7" in length.
