1840-50 Joseph Raynes of Lowell, MA and Low, Ball, & Co. Coin Silver Partial Set - American Coin Silver

$120.00
Joseph Raynes was a fairly prolific silversmith in Lowell, MA during the mid-19th century. This partial set includes five teaspoons and one tablespoon. The set features fancy later fiddleback forms and handles with a monogrammed 'LJN'. Each is well marked for Joseph Raynes and one is marked for Lows, Ball, & Co. (Francis Low, True M. Ball, and Nathaniel C. Poor in Boston MA as LOWS, BALL & Co.) Patina and satin finish are perfect and not overpolished. Very conservatively, there are typical signs of use commensurate with age, subtle areas of dark patina, slight wear to engraving, and minor dints etc. The set will not be split. Additional photos available on request. Length: 5.5 / 7"" Weight: 86 g Check out some of my other sterling silver here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783258 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
