1838 Paul Storr Sterling Silver Open Entree Dish - London (761 grams)
$8,000.00
A fine 1842 sterling silver dish executed by the legendary Paul Storr of London. The dish is octagonal, measuring 12" across and 1.25" deep. This item has a beautiful crest in the form of a wolf erased and gorged with a collar (perhaps arms of Phelps or Ward). The back is left unadorned and there are no monograms on this piece. Very clearly hallmarked for Paul Storr, Sterling, London, 1842, Victoria. Overall, the gauge is extremely heavy as you would expect from Paul Storr.
761 grams
In very good antique condition with wear and patina commensurate with age and usage. There is surface scratching that could be professionally conserved by my silversmith or yours.
