A fine and large pair of federal sugar tongs in near perfect condition by Ebenezer Leach & Horace Strong Bradley of Utica, NY. These tongs are monogrammed twice in period script with 'MAT' at the top and 'ATL' on the tong. The maker mark, struck on both sides of the inner arms is extremely clean on these and may be the best strike I can find. Really a great example of the mark! Plenty of spring in these tongs.
