1825 Picture Back Fiddle Pattern Coin Silver Teaspoon by Poughkeepsie NY Smith Abraham G Storm

Offered here, a rare regional Poughkeepsie, NY coin silver fiddleback picture back teaspoon engraved with a monogram (CMHB). This spoon was hand made in the 19th century of sterling silver. Spoon is to be considered a picture back with a nice decoration between the handle and the bowl on obverse. Reverse is stamped "A G Storm" in a rectangular cartouche. Condition is fair with patina, dints in the bowl, and surface scratching typical of a piece of this age. Dimensions: 5.75" and about 14.6 grams. Recovered from a North Carolina estate.
