1825-38 Maison Odiot Sterling Silver Serving Plate - Paris (800 grams)
$3,600.00
A very fine sterling silver dish executed by the legendary Maison Odiot of Paris 1825-38. The dish is round, measuring 11.75" across. This item has a beautiful period monogram of 'HP' or 'PH' at the rim. The back is left unadorned. Very clearly hallmarked for Odiot and with the hallmark. Overall, the gauge is extremely heavy as you would expect from Odiot during the Charles-Nicolas Odiot period. 800 grams. Recently recovered from a Chicago-area estate (Ex-Richard Fill collection).
In very good antique condition with wear and patina commensurate with age and usage. There is surface scratching that could be professionally conserved by my silversmith or yours.
