1825-30 Coin Silver 9" Tablespoon by Horace Goodwin of Hartford, Connecticut (monogram 'EA')

$90.00
Fine c. 1825-30 fiddle back tablespoon with a broad downturned terminal by Horace Goodwin of Hartford, Connecticut. Monogrammed with an 'EA'. Very little wear and a nice medium light-gauge. Just under 9" long. Condition is good. Notable about this spoon is its somewhat naive and provincial demeanor which is in keeping with the idea that Goodwin may have been partially self-taught or at least had a limited apprenticeship, possibly with a smith in New Britain. A very American spoon. Somewhat scarce maker and mark. 41 grams Check out some of my other silver flatware! https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP?ref=shop_sugg§ion_id=7399760 Or just browse the whole collection: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP
