$425.00
A large ca 1820 solid silver tablespoon by Jacques Quesnel of Jersey, Channel Islands. Channel Islands silver is very difficult to find. This spoon, made by the French maker, Quesnel was made in the old simple Huguenot Hanoverian fiddleback pattern with with a downturned terminal. Minor surface wear, scratches and minor dints in the bowl. Hallmark is crisp and is a 'JQ' in a chamfered cartouche. Overall, the spoon is made with a very heavy gauge. An elegant drop on the back of the bowl. A later inscription for B.K.R., 4.3.88 is probably 1888.
