1819-38 Gabriel-Jacques-André Bompart French Sterling Silver Antique Underplate (170 grams)
$380.00
A very fine sterling silver dish executed by the esteemed Gabriel-Jacques-André Bompart 1819-38. The dish is round, measuring 6+" across. This item has no monogram. The back has a gadrooned band along the top of the rim. A plain raised foot. Very clearly hallmarked for Bompart and with the 1st standard for the period. Overall, the gauge is medium weight.
In very good antique condition with slight wear and patina commensurate with age and usage. There is light surface scratching as you might expect from 2 centuries of careful use. Recently recovered from a Chicago-area estate (Ex-Richard Fill collection).
