1818 Andrew Wilkie Sterling Silver Edinburgh George III Basting Spoon

A truly magnificent 1818 sterling silver Andrew Wilkie sterling silver basting or stuffing spoon, Edinburgh made (George III). This spoon has a fine scalloped and downturned terminal that brings great presence to serving. Marked AW, George III, Edinburgh (three castles), Scotland (thistle) sterling. Also marked with a fabulous retailer mark for Morton. Condition is fine with typical fine surface scratches and some scant battle scars in the bowl. Weight: 107 grams. Dimensions: 12".
