Offered here, a rare and scarce Ebenezer Whitney New York City coin silver fiddleback teaspoon faintly engraved with a monogram (JML) in the sheaf of wheat pattern. This spoon was hand made in the 19th century of sterling silver. Spoon is to be considered a picture back with a nice decoration between the handle and the bowl on obverse. Reverse is stamped "E. Whitney". Condition is good with minor patina and surface scratching typical of a piece of this age. Strong in all the right places and great lines! Would make an especially fine gift! 6" and about 16.3 grams. From a North Carolina estate.
