Ca 1815-1820 Pennsylvania coin silver tablespoon made by renowned maker, William Mannerback, Sr (1762-1838). He inhabited the town of Reading and was the patriarch of a multi-generational family that had settled there. This simple spoon typifies the time period. Neatly made, and stamped with a small font "W. Mannerback" and "READING". A plain cartouche. This spoons is in very good condition given the age with nominal wear, surface scratches and overall patina. A couple small dints to the bowl. Overall, exceptional and scarce piece by a rare maker. Made in the heavy gauge that the senior Mannerback was known for.
