1752 London George II English Marrow Spoon Attributed to Roger Hare

$300.00
Outstanding example of the fine quality of George II silversmithing, probably by Roger Hare (mark presumed to be registered in the lost smallworker's book). This sterling silver marrow scoop is hand forged from a heavy gauge of silver with a traditional English profile. Very nicely engraved with a worn fancy back and a light monogram. The hallmarks are very strong, well struck, and show London, 1752, sterling, and a an RH mark. Certainly among the finest English pieces in my stock. Overall condition is good with typical minor wear. No notable damage given 200+ years of use. Price is highly competitive, firm, and it is priced to sell. 49 grams 8.75" Check out some of my other sterling silver here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783258 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
