1750 small teaspoon by John Brevoort of New York City, NY. Plain design with upturned terminal and subtle midrib spine hearkening to a more restrained age and made in a good light to medium gauge of silver. Monogram 'H*S' in period hand-engraved script letters. Condition is very good. Nicely marked 'IBV' in an oval cartouche. This is an extremely good quality colonial New York silver spoon.
