1742 Gabriel Sleath sterling silver tablespoon matching pair. Hand forged from a heavy gauge of silver with an opulent simple profile and downturned terminals. Bottom-struck hallmarks for Gabriel Sleath (one badly rubbed but identifiable), and correct pre-1822 crowned leopard, lion passant. This spoon is 8.5" in length. These spoons are in extremely good condition with thick bowl tips, and strong heel to the reverse of the bowl and an excellent patina. Condition includes extremely fine surface scratches commensurate with age and use. No breaks, dints, or repairs. Weight is 167 grams on the pair.
