1735-1740 Coin Silver English(?) Teaspoon

$225.00
A scarce 1735-40 solid sterling silver teaspoon recently recovered from the California estate of an Englishman. This spoon has all the classic characteristics of the era like the elongated egg-shaped bowl, along with a beautifully executed drop. Perhaps the marks were worn away, but they are certainly difficult to read now (perhaps a lion's paw is visible). Nonetheless, a nice medium gauge spoon. Upturned terminal and a central spine. Condition is very good with slight right handed bowl wear and some small nicks on the terminal. A scarce and exceedingly rare form. Weight: 9 grams Length: 4 1/4" Check out some of my other sterling silver here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker?section_id=6783258 Or just browse around the shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/neurorocker
