Fabulous pair of John Gorham scissor form sugar tongs made in London, England. Gorham was a prolific and tong-maker, his J-pellet-G mark was entered in 1728. A beautiful pair in outstanding condition with seemingly no repair! With an owner's mark of T*P on the hinge plate. Marked at the outsides of the ring handles with the IG mark and the 1720-28 lion passant in the rounded rectangle. Scallop lobe form grips. 28 grams, 5". A joy to hold with a tight hinge.
