1726 Alexander Kincaid of Edinburgh Rattail Tablespoon Set of Three Matching (227 grams)

$2,300.00
A 1726 Alexander Kincaid of Edinburgh tablespoon set of three (3) with prominent rattail recovered recently from a New England estate. The maker mark is a clearly struck 'AK', the assay master mark is 'EP', and the date mark is 'W'. Also with an Edinburgh mark. A nice heavy gauge spoon set. Slight upturn of the terminal and a handsome central spine down the handle. Condition is very good with honest wear including a satin finish from surface scratches. These certainly could even be pressed into service. Also engraved with original owner's initials: WM / JK. I noted that at least one other Kincaid spoon had the initial JK, perhaps related. No damage. No repairs. Outstanding examples and so rare to find three of a kind from this time period. Length: 8" 227 grams Check out some of my other sterling silver flatware here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP?ref=search_shop_redirect§ion_id=7399760 Or just browse around the shop! https://www.etsy.com/shop/DCSILVERSHOP
