A large, heavy antique figural silver Indian spice container in the form of a carnatic tambura. Good antique condition and unmarked. Hinges work well to reveal the hidden compartments. Noted is the Peacock motif on the back of the sittar, state bird of India. This piece was likely made in Karnataka, possibly in Misore
